Cutlets are enjoyed very much as snacks. There are wide varieties of cutlets that are made and eaten. This time I tried to make cutlets from Yam in my own ways that are even tastier than others.
These cutlets are crispy from outside and soft from inside. Their taste is awesome with its ingredients. Here is its recipe-
Time Taken- 15 min
Ginger-1 inch grated
Green chilly- 2 finely chopped
Cumin powder- 2 tsp
Chaat masala powder- 1tsp
Black pepper powder- 2tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Dry mango powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder-1/2 tsp
Chopped green coriander- 2 tbsp
Beaten egg- 1
Bread crumbs– 1&1/2 cups
Oil-2 tbsp (more for deep frying)
Steps to follow-
- Mash the boiled Yam.
- Start adding all the ingredients except egg and bread crumbs and mix them well.
- Make cutlets by rolling the mixture into balls and make them flattened by pressing with the help of both the palms. Smoothen the cutlets from edges with hands.
- Now dip these cutlets into the beaten egg.
- Coat them in bread crumbs and either deep fry them or shallow fry them if you are health conscious.
Crispy Yam cutlets are ready to gobble!
